In addition to the adult Bible class we have also resumed the children’s Bible classes at 9:30am on Sunday Morning as well.
We are excited to have Karen Burton teaching the Pre-Teen class. She believes in making Bible class fun but informative. The focus for this class will be how we know the Bible is the Word of God.
Please encourage your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family friends etc. to attend.
Like many of you I have strived to live according to Matthew 6:33 seeking God’s Kingdom first and His righteousness and have seen the tremendous blessings that come from living this way. We need to instill this in our children, so too their lives will be blessed! A great way to start is by having them meet with the Body Sunday mornings, not only for worship, but in showing the desire to do more for God (really for us), and attending Bible study.
If there is anything you would like me to do in addition or differently for the kid’s classes, or have questions, please do not hesitate in letting me know. I would appreciate it.

This organization supports orphanages in 9 different countries. I have introduced you to the homes in Haiti, India and Uganda. Below are the last 2 of the 5 homes in Kenya.
50% of the people in Kenya are below the poverty level with 42% of the population being younger than 14 years of age. The life expectancy is just 48 years due to disease and malnutrition. There are approximately 1.7 million orphans in this country and like all of Sub-Saharan Africa, this number is growing at an alarming rate. Nearly 20% of the children suffer from severe to moderate growth and development stunting and are common victims of abuse and neglect. Your support of a child or home at one of our Kenya programs will provide the love and care needed to help a child get on the right path for nutrition, education and spiritual wellbeing.

Orphan’s Lifeline has been supporting this orphan care home and school since 2007, three years after its inception. New Hope
Home and School serves orphaned, abandoned and neglected children from the slums outside of Mombasa and was founded by a Christian man concerned about the fate of the hundreds of children affected by parents suffering from HIV/AIDS. About 50 orphans live on this rural home style campus and the school serves approximately 400.

Sponsorship Programs Available: Orphan and Widow Family Sponsorship-Home Sponsorship
Orphan’s Lifeline has been supporting this program since 2020. This is a new project launching our Orphan and Widow Family Sponsorship program to provide the care and support to keep vulnerable children with their guardian and prevent them from separation through institutionalization, risk of child marriage and child trafficking. Our partnership with Acts of Charity is also the beginning of our Community Outreach Program through the Child Development Center which also provides community support and care to vulnerable children with parents, but who are also living in extreme poverty.
On July 13, 2020, Governor Newsom issued an order prohibiting indoor activities in places of worship.
As a result, starting on July 19, 2020, you may stay home and worship with live streams from other congregations OR join us at the parking lot side of the building where the whole worship service will be conducted.
If you are joining us at the building, we will start the worship service at 9:30 AM for cooler temperatures and more available shade.
Safety and health controls that are in place will continue.

All Chino Worship Services/Bible Classes are cancelled until further notice!
Why? Because we are in the middle of a significant public health problem. In order to prevent this problem from overwhelming our medical facilities then we must slow the spread of COVID-19. To accomplish this, various levels of government are placing restrictions on us. Such as:
- San Bernardino County has forbidden all ‘gatherings of any size’. Link
- The state of California wants everyone to stay home (except for ‘essential purposes’). Link
So now, the Chino Eldership wants everyone to consider Worship options we can do at home:
- In order to take the Lord’s Supper at home then each household should buy grape juice and unleavened bread (e.g. Manischewitz Matzos)
- Watch (or record on your DVR) “In Search of the Lord’s Way” on Sunday morning at 7:30AM on channel 56 (OTA & DirecTV) channel 10 on Spectrum cable AND/OR
- Watch a “virtual worship” that will done by the South Hills church of Christ on their Facebook page on Sunday at 10:45AM. Link

An important message for the Chino Church of Christ family:
Family,
We know that many of you are concerned about the situation currently developing in our area regarding the COVID-19 virus, and rightly so. For those of you who are not concerned, we would ask that you act with concern on behalf of those of us who are at risk due to underlying health issues or age. We all have a responsibility to one another and to the community around us to do everything we can in order to halt the spread of an illness that will compromise the most vulnerable among us.

With this in mind, the elders have decided that our Sunday morning services will continue as scheduled. Class is at 9:45 am, and worship will follow at 10:45. However, we will be cancelling our Sunday afternoon service, Wednesday night Bible study, and the Ladies Class for the foreseeable future.
We strongly encourage our elderly and those among us who have health concerns to stay at home. We also ask those of you with any symptoms of illness to please stay home. If you are currently healthy, but are uneasy about meeting with the group, then please know that we
certainly understand if you decide to stay home as well. Please do what you think is best for you and your family.
For those of you who plan on attending Sunday morning, please wash your hands often. Also, we strongly recommend that you avoid hugging or shaking hands with anyone for the time being. If possible, please follow CDC guidelines by trying to sit at least six feet apart from others.
We will continue to wipe down common areas with disinfectant. There are containers of hand sanitizer in the restrooms for your use. However, our current supply of disinfectant and hand sanitizer is limited. We are not sure when we will be able to replace them.
We will be ordering individual sealed communion cups, but as you can imagine, they are backordered everywhere. For this coming Sunday, the bread will be pre-broken, and the serving trays will be cleaned thoroughly.
