New in the Kitchen: Life Vac Home Kit

Thanks to a generous gift from Jerry and Carol Thompson, we now have a Life Vac Home Kit in the First Aid cupboard in the kitchen. This simple suction device can help clear a blocked airway when someone is choking and standard first aid has not worked.

Please take a moment to note where it is kept. In an emergency, call 911 first and follow standard choking rescue steps. The Life Vac is intended only as a second-line option if those steps fail. Instructions are included with the kit.

  • Our Families – Pray for families raising children in today’s world and for those carrying the heartache of loved ones who have wandered from the faith.

Dates for September:

TONIGHT…9/13: Second Sunday singing and fellowship following evening Bible class. Please bring a dish to share.

9/17 & 9/24: Ladies’ Bible Class meets at the building at 1:00 p.m. We are studying the book of Genesis.

9/19: All Day Youth in Action from 9:30 am – 7:30 pm. This will be held at Ball Road Church of Christ, 1590 W. Ball Rd, Anaheim, CA 92802.

9/19: Ladies’ Day at Upland Church of Christ is scheduled for September 19th. The event, titled “At His Feet & In His Service,” will feature lessons from Mary and Martha as recorded in Luke 10:38-42. From 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., there will be a welcome and morning refreshments session. The program will commence at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until 12:00 p.m. Lunch will be served from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
