The Cure for a Tired Heart – Robert Harper II

We live in a time when discouragement is everywhere. It affects all people, regardless of personality or stage of life. Even strong, faithful individuals feel its weight.

Discouragement often targets dreamers, leaders, parents—those striving toward something meaningful. It leads to frustration, then spiritual fatigue, and eventually failure.

What’s the remedy?

Hebrews 12:3 says:
“Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

We are called to focus on Christ—reflect on Him, dwell on Him, and remember His endurance. This strengthens our hearts and helps us resist discouragement.

👉 Action Step:
Take time this week to align your thoughts with God when you feel discouraged.

✨ ANOINT

What is the Biblical significance of anointing?

In the Old Testament, anointing with oil set apart individuals for special roles:

  • Prophets
  • Priests
  • Kings

The Hebrew word “mashah” (anoint) leads to Messiah.
The Greek word “chrio” leads to Christ.

Jesus is the Anointed One, fulfilling all three roles:

  • Prophet – Speaks for God
  • Priest – Offers Himself for atonement
  • King – Reigns at God’s right hand
