The churches of Christ salute you. Romans 16:16

This Daily Bible Reading Schedule does not follow the order in which the books appear in the Bible. It is rather a chronological arrangement. The poetic and prophetic books of the Old Testament are inserted in the historical books at the point in the narrative where they are thought to have been written. Likewise, the Epistles of the New Testament are inserted in the narrative of the Book of Acts. The chronological order used here is agreeable to most conservative Bible scholars. (The daily schedule was taken from the Gospel Gazette website.)

Acts 13:2 – The Holy Spirit, A Person (Wayne Jackson | Christian Courier)

This passage shows the Holy Spirit is a divine Person. The Spirit said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul…”
The word me (moi) shows personality.
Some groups deny this, but Scripture affirms it.
Cross-references: John 14:26; Acts 10:19–20; 15:28; 16:6.

**📖 SERMON SUMMARY by Sam Eugenio

THE RINGS OF THE LORD (Matthew 20:22; Luke 6:12–13; James 4:8)**

Overview
Jesus had rings of relationship—levels of closeness. Every believer is somewhere, and Jesus invites us closer.

The Crowds – Watching & Listening
• Curious observers
• Impressed but loosely committed

The Five Thousand – Feeding & Receiving
• Followed Jesus for miracles
• Loved the gifts, not the Giver

The Seventy – Serving & Working
• Joined ministry
• Reminder: Rejoice your names are in heaven.

The Twelve – Following & Surrendering
• Left everything
• Discipleship requires sacrifice

The Three – Glory & Suffering
• Peter, James, John
• Saw glory and pain

The One – Deepest Intimacy
• John, the beloved
• Closest relationship

Invitation
Jesus calls us closer—not to stay in the crowd, but to know His heart.
“Come near to God, and He will come near to you.” — James 4:8

Reflection Questions:
• Where am I—Crowd? Five Thousand? Seventy? Twelve? Three? One?
• Am I moving closer?
• What step is Jesus asking me to take?
